Penned with songwriter Benji Harris and masterfully produced by Sean Giovanni (John Legend, Tim McGraw, and Big & Rich) the song is a one-way ticket to experiencing what is not broken: her truth and spirit. Lia shares both so vulnerably and intimately in every lyric throughout this song.
Lia reveals, “This song was written by Benji Harris and myself about me leaving my hometown behind after a difficult childhood to pursue my dreams against the odds and the advice of people around me at the time. It’s an anthem about believing in yourself, moving ahead to reach your dreams, and doing what it takes to overcome any obstacles that may be in your way…come ‘Hell or High Water.’”
Producer Sean Giovanni explains, “‘Hell or High Water’ is the perfect song for Lia to launch this new step in her artistic journey. This song is a testament of Lia’s relentless pursuit to follow her passion of creating art. The truth that through one’s will, there will always be a way is something that everyone can connect with, and this song tells that story loud and proud!”
|About Lia Caton|
Lia Caton is a tenacious country artist and songwriter hailing from Naperville, Ill. outside of Chicago. Her kind heart and strong spirit are wildly apparent in each of her projects as she infuses her mission to heal, inspire and advocate for causes close to home. As a child, Lia witnessed her father struggle with addiction and homelessness. Overcoming childhood adversity, this soulful songwriter moved from a suburb of Boston to the “Windy City” to pursue a career in music.
Inspired by the sultry vocal tones of Bonnie Raitt and Wynonna Judd, Caton’s signature sound is raw and recognizably intimate as she narrates her own human experience through original songs. This activist released her debut single “Spare Some Time” in 2020, proving that connecting with and valuing people of all walks of life provides a sense of community that was missing during quarantine.
Beyond her homeless and child services outreach, Lia also greatly values the work of those in the rescue pet community. She has experienced the joy a rescued pet can bring to a family firsthand with her pets. Beyond the stage, this mother and wife enjoys the beauty and relaxation discovered in nature on horse trails and ski slopes.
She will be premiering her next release “Hell or High Water”, a co-write with Benji Harris (previous hits in the CMT Top 20 countdown) with production by Sean Giovanni (John Legend, Tim McGraw, and Big & Rich) on Friday, October 15.
